Frequently Asked Questions

How will I be contacted for service?
  • Home Warranty Customers will contact you directly for service and should identify themselves as a Home Warranty customer.

  • Establish a time when service can be performed for the homeowner. If you are unable to perform the service, please contact Home Warranty immediately so we can make other arrangements for the customer.

  • Home Warranty will send your company a Service Request Slip by fax or email. This document will include the customer’s name, address, phone number, and a brief description of the issue. Any special instructions will be noted in the Service Information section when necessary

Do I have to fill out any special forms or invoices for Home Warranty calls?
  • No. Simply send a separate invoice for each service item.

  • Your invoice to Home Warranty should include the following information:

  1. Customer name, address, phone number, and claim number (if available).

  2. Appliance or system for which work was performed.

  3. Brief explanation of the problem and repair solution.

  4. A detailed breakdown of all charges, including:

a. Parts used
b. Labor
c. Mileage (if applicable)
d. Applicable taxes
e. Amount paid by the customer
f. Remaining balance due from Home Warranty

When do I need to contact Home Warranty about repairs?
  • Any situation where you are uncertain if the repair is covered under the warranty: possible pre-existing conditions, items not part of coverage, improper installation, etc.

  • Before determining whether a unit is not repairable due to lack of parts or technical information. We may have access to additional suppliers of OEM, after-market, or remanufactured parts that would allow you to complete the repair.

  • In situations where the cost of repairs is expected to exceed the amounts included in the welcome packet.

We have worked for Home Warranty for several years. Payment is always prompt, usually within 2 weeks. Their Customer Service is amazing compared to others! They do not have long wait times when getting approvals/ authorization. When placing a call into their automated system it is usually just a few minutes before we have a Customer Service Rep on the line. Their staff have pretty much stayed consistent, to the extent everyone knows you, so you tend to build up a relationship speaking with the same person over and over again. They are always very friendly and courteous. They are very easy to work with, which allows good customer service for customer and contractor.
